My brother, Grady, has been came over to play once a week because he is too little to go to work with his raiser. We played and played until we fell asleep. After our nap, we played some more until it was time for Grady to go home. What a great time we have!

I'm still to young to go help with GDA booth and events so Denise has been renting GDA puppies for them and today she has Harley a female black lab to help out at Knollwood Country club. The GDA Foundation was having a fund raiser 18th hole game. For five dollars if the golfer gets his ball with in the white circle the golfer would win a pouch and three new golf balls and if they made a hole in one the player would win the bag, balls, and 20% discount in the pro shop of the country club.

My brother Grady came over to have a slumber party while his raiser goes to work really early tomorrow morning. We shared my crate but like all great slumber parties we did not go to sleep right away we had to play first. This afternoon Denise and family brought Oceana and I to Grandma A house to visit and dinner. While we waited for dinner later in the evening Jacob, Brittany, Catalina and Oceana went swimming it looked like fun so I jumped in after them but before Denise could panic and try to rescue me, I figured out that the floor disappeared and turned around and jumped back out, I'll try again when I get bigger. Grandma asked Denise to give Catalina a bath after her swim. So all of us ended up getting a bath. Now we are all tired and curl up for a nap all threw dinner.

Today is the “WHO DUN IT” fundraiser that Denise and Pam, the Sylmar Group Leader, have been planning for the last several months. My sister Gracy & I were put into a large x-pen while Denise and the English family got everything ready for the WHO DUN IT game. Finally, it was time to play “WHO DUN IT!” Bob, the puppy thief, took me to be on his team until I started to fall asleep. Then he put me back into the x-pen for a nap. While I slept, the teams continued playing figuring out the puzzles and going to the evidence stations and had a lot of fun! I think I should have stayed awake!

Oceana showed me this fun “water fountain!” When you touch it, a stream of water comes out and drops into the bowl. I had sooooo much fun making it work and digging out all the water from the bowl. We got really wet and danced around the yard before going back to play with the “water fountain” again.

After I got settled in at my new home, Denise fed me lunch and emptied my big bag of puppy food into the food bin. When she dropped the empty bag on the ground, the bag smelled so good I went to check it out. To my surprise, I found some kibble still in the bag. Of course I could not let them be thrown away with the bag, so I went in to eat the leftover kibble.

Today was the big day! My siblings and I traveled to Guide Dogs of America in Sylmar to meet my new puppy raiser "what ever that is". Once we arrived the puppy department ladies tell us our puppy raisers are arriving in the film room for puppy orientation and will come soon to take us to our new homes. When it was time to meet our puppy raisers, I was carried out to the kennel lobby where Louise said “Denise, here is Gentry.” (Who is Gentry?) A lady walked up and I was handed to Denise who snuggled me in her arms. Denise put this red thing around my neck and it had a really long red thing attached to it. I didn’t like it very much but when I looked around at my siblings, they were all wearing one so I guess it was okay. I will just wait until no one is looking to scratch it off. Sarah, the vet tech, came outside and snuggled me in her arms before we went up the hill to the grass area to "get busy." But, I was more interested in playing with my brothers and sisters and our new puppy raisers. Before we left GDA, we took a family photo and a photo with our puppy raisers in front of the school. Then it was time to get into our raisers cars and head to our new homes all over Southern California. Once we arrived home, my new “big sister,” Oceana, was right there at the car door ready to welcome me to my home for the next year and a half.

Today was kind of a sad day. Denise received a call from GDA today saying that it was decided I would change careers and become someone’s forever dog and family pet. I get frightened from some normal everyday things so I guess being a guide dog was just not for me… You have to be VERY brave when you help guide someone who cannot see! GDA will find me a new family…. I can’t wait to meet them!

I received the phone call that Catalina decided she did not want to do guide work any more so I went and adopted her to be my forever puppy. I had her at home not even a week when Oceana, Catalina and Fern when to my grandparents to visit and I had the biggest surprise ever! my grandma who not a big dog person but been very inviting with my girls coming over, told me that she and my grandpa are going to adopt Catalina! Wow how can I say no, when Catalina already started sitting close to my grandpa who has early Alzheimer's while he sat in his chair stroking her head.

Catalina knew she had new job already and when Fern, Oceana & I left she had no issue being left with my grandparents who are already in love with her and was talking about going shopping to get her toys, bedding ect...

Denise and I helped out at another Children’s Workshop. This time was at a Boy Scout Day Camp. The boys were earning their disability badge. Denise and I were at the vision station and had a special treat of having Mr. Paul and Guide Dog Rawhide work our station. Mr. Paul showed the kids all his neat toys to help him find the correct color for his clothes or read bar codes for when he goes grocery shopping and more. After Mr. Paul’s presentation, Denise had the kids try on different glasses to show what it was like not to see. Then, she had them blindfolded and try to put together puzzles, tie shoes, string shapes on to ribbons.

Today was the GDA Annual Open House and Puppy Trials. Denise and I arrived earlier to help set up. While Denise worked, I played with Kayla and Allison. Once the gates were open, Denise and I walked the Puppy Trial obstacle course which included obedience, walking towards a mirror, stairs, walking on weird surfaces like bubble wrap, sitting by a table like at a restaurant, walking by these strange hot dog plants, bubbles, balloons waving in the breeze, as well as llamas, lambs, goats, ducks and other farm yard animals. Then, I had climb on the vet table where Sarah, the vet tech, checked my ears. Finally, I climbed on the GDA bus and sat quietly while we pretended to go for a ride.

Later in the day, Denise left me with Paul and Chris (3 yrs old) and we went into the dorm to have a nap. They slept in the bed while I curled up under the bedside table. At the end of the day when all the ribbons were announced Denise and I won second place in our age division.

Denise and I went to help with the GDA information booth at the Thousand Oaks Wellness Fair. Denise talked with lots of people about GDA while I received all the love and belly rubs I could sneak in. I really like “working” the information booths in exchange for all the love I get and good naps under the table.

Denise and I visited the Lakes in Thousand Oaks. There were a lot of Koi in one of the ponds. I wanted to investigate them, but Denise would not let me catch one so I laid down as close as I could to watch the fish as they watched me.

Today, Denise and I helped with the Chatsworth Elementary children’s workshop and worked the harness station. In this station the kids work in teams. One child puts on a blind fold and another child pretends they are a guide dog and puts on a “harness” that goes around their waist. While Denise and Lynne supervised the kids, Jax and I took a nap in the shade.

The next morning we got up real early to clean the Scout house and pack, since we were leaving today. We walked to Erik Shat’s bakery for breakfast and picked up Grandma B’s order of bread. When we left Bishop, we made a stop to see the Manzanar Internment camp where we watched a 20 minute film about the camp and then walked around the museum.

This morning Denise, Pam, Ember and I went to Mass at the Catholic Church. When we went up for communion, I tried to shake but Denise would not let me all the way up the aisle. When we got to the front of the church, Denise did not catch me and I gave a really loud tail slapping shake in front of everyone.

After mass, we met our group at the park for a pancake breakfast with the local Lion’s Club before we left for Laws Museum. Laws is a very peaceful place with lots of old buildings to see and a nice green lawn and giant cottonwood trees for shade. They had a couple trains and one trolley to ride, but we didn't.

The girls were put on puppy duty so Ember and I had a great time exploring with them and around 1:00 pm, we met up with the adults and had a picnic lunch. The girls wanted to go swimming at the pool in town so Denise, Pam, Kathy, Ember and I stayed a little bit longer at Laws to explore. While we were there, some people asked Denise and Pam if Ember and I were the “Catholic dogs” so I guess we made an impression on everyone.

This morning was the mule day's parade. The parade was LOADS of fun. The mule pack teams the wild "ass" women (a group of ladies who help rescue wild donkeys) and the horsed were so neat. I loved the costumes, wagons and the local school bands.Wow what is that Our Nations Flag Pack Team circles watching the parade UP! Yes it's the Cone of Shame What's next Oh Mr. & Mrs. Pack RatOne of the three school bands in the parade Antique Fire equipment I should of called Public Storage yep it's a dog crate and on another mule was the kitchen sinkPriefert hitchWild Ass Woman After the parade, we walked back tot he scout house where everyone packed a lunch and left for the fairgrounds to watch the packers in different events like the packer's scramble, and obstacle course, mule races and even a costume contest. the ground even rumbled with Texas Thunder when the Priefert six horse Percheron hitch entered the arena. it was really fun to watch when they wound up in a tight circle in a corner of the arena and took off at a full gallop around the arena. Denise packed the car with her duffle bag and my bag and said we are going to Mule Days in Bishop, CA. I'm not really sure what Mule Days is, but I am ready for an adventure. We arrived at Pam and Ember's house to meer Kathy and her Girl scout troop. While the cares were loaded up, Ember and I played with the girls in the backyard till it wa time to go.On our way to Bishop we stopped to Letterbox which is like Geo Caching but instead you stamp your personal carved stamp into the box's log book and then stamp the box's hand carved stamp into your log book. Our first stop was at the Lake Isabella/Kern River Valley sign. We all ran across 395 to get it. Shhh - don't tell anybody. At the second of the letterbox, Denise and some of the girls deciphered a clue using a historical monument while some of the other girls sat on top and waved to the cars and trucks that passed by getting them to honk at them.

Later, we stopped at Fossil Falls, a lave rock landscape and found another box and I was able to climb on some of the lava falls. When we arrived in Bishop everyone unloaded the cars and then Denise, Pam and some of the girls went out to put out chairs to save our spots for the parade the next day while Ember and I played in the Girl Scout house with the other girls. When everyone came back it was time to go to bed so we could be nice and fresh for tomorrow.

Denise and I left the house really early to help set up for GDA's Sixth Annual "Ride for Guide" Motorcycle Poker Run and BBQ. By 8:30am, Denise and I left GDA to go to stop one at Bear Divide which is located in between Santa Clarita Valley and San Fernando Valley. Just as we finish setting up in the freezing wipping wind, our first riders arrived. The riders kept telling us that it was soooooooo cold and windy that with all their leather gear, they were freezing cold and did not want to take off their helmets and gloves when they stopped. By 10:30am, we packed up the stop and jumped into the heated car for the trip down the mountain and back to a nice 80 degree GDA for the BBQ. While Denise helped with the raffle, I took a nap behind the raffle table for the rest of the day. WOW, it sure was a long, but fun day! Bear Divide

Denise and I had a Metro adventure today, we took the Orange Line from Warner Center Woodland Hills and took it to Woodly Ave in Van Nuys were we the walked threw Woodly Park to The Japanese Gardens at the Tillman Water Reclamation Planet. We explored the beautiful garden for a few hours before heading back home.

After the GDA Obedience class today Finley and I went with our raisers to the Poppy Festival in Lancaster. We took a tram over to the festival were we walked around the craft booths to shop and down the aviation row we stopped at the NASA booth were we checked out the astronaut life support suit. After exploring the festival we headed over to the Poppy Reserve to check out the fields and fields of poppies. Denise and I ran into Candy’s Quiltworks for some fabrics that Denise will use to make collars. While we were there one of the ladies who work there had brought her parrot to work with her and she took it off her shoulder to my level so I could see it. I sat there checking it out when it decided to walk further down her arm and then nibble on my NOISE! I hopped back a few feet and sat down again to watch it till it was time to leave.

Wow another car show that benefits GDA. This time it’s the Morpar Spring Fling XXIV car show in Van Nuys. Like last weeks we walked around smooshing with the exhibitors.. There was also a exhibit of police cars and a few 50’s style cars but most of the time we worked the GDA booth and talked to people when they came up to ask questions or just visited with us puppies at the end of the day GDA was presented with two thousand dollars from Morpar Car club.

Today Denise brought me the Spring Classic Car Show that benefits GDA. Denise and I walked around checking out all the beautifully restored and maintained cars, trucks and a bus. We smooshed the exhibitors talking about Guide Dogs of America while they tried to tell Denise about their cars, She’s does not understand all the terms of engines, wheels, and other car parts. It’s Easter and I got to help Denise hide the Easter Eggs at Grandma Artner’s. We spread most of them on the grass because there were so many and we never have enough hiding places but the large eggs with all the grandchildren’s names on it were given the harder hiding spots. Like poor Brittany her daddy hid her egg way up a tree or Shawn’s egg was taped up under Grandma’s car. I had lots of fun with all those eggs around but Denise would not let me crunch them so I just laid down and pouted till Jordan came by then we played while everyone else looked for eggs.

That sure was not a fun stay at the kennels I came home with stitches on my belly and the “CONE OF SHAME” I really did not like it so she took out this collar that goes from my ears all the way to my shoulders. This morning Denise, Oceana, and I went to the beach with Tonka, Cleo, Earl and their raisers. We had a blast on this little cove running threw the waves and after each other. When we were done at the beach we went over to their house and everyone got a bath but me! Denise says that I am going to GDA for the next couple days to be spayed and she wants to make sure that I get a bath before it happens so I went all sandy and muddy to the kennel and strait into a bath. Denise and I meet Fenix and her raisers at the North Hollywood Metro Red Line were we are going to get off at Vermont/Sunset and took a shuttle up the hill to the Griffith Park Observatory. Denise tells me this is where you can view the stars at night and they also teach you about the stars. We slowly walked around the displays while Denise read and studied the objects. When ever she stopped for a while I would lie down and wait till we moved on to the next display. Before we headed home we exploring grounds and looked at the view of Los Angeles all the way out to the ocean.

My sister Finley and her raiser work at Burbank Airport American Airlines so they set up a field trip for 8 of her puppy friends and raisers, so we could go threw the security and board a plane. The plan was delayed in Dallas and was not going to make it to Burbank till Midnight but we still got to go threw the metal detectors and were searched by the security. We even got to walk by the planes while they were taxi in. It was still a fun field trip even if we did not get to go on a plane.Waiting for all our group to arriveL to R

Denise Jacob and I went for a hike today were they use to film Western movies by Gene Autry and more there is not any sets left but you can see some foundations and the rocky landscape where they would film the chase scenes or would have a whole town. When Denise and I arrived home yesterday evening we found two packages have been left on the front porch for us. One of them was my Paw It Forward gift from L^2 and Willow the other one nylon webbing to make me new collars. Inside my box was a loud pink squeaky Kong, Home made treats, recipes for Denise to make me more, Paw post-its for Denise and a card from L^2 and Willow. It been pouring down rain all morning and Denise tells me like working guides work if it's rain or shine so the Westside GDA Puppy raiser groups annual Union Station to Pasadena trip was not canceled. We meet Echo, Finley, Louie-J, and Keith in North Hollywood Metro Red Line Station and took it all the way to the end of the line at Union Station were we meeting the rest of the group. At eleven the group walked to the Gold line platform to take it to Pasadena and then a short walk to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch. When we arrived in Pasadena it was not raining and the sun was breaking threw the clouds so we took a fast busy stop and then walked the two blocks to lunch. When we arrived our group was asked to wait outside for a few minutes and that is when the sky decided to dump on us so when the restaurant was ready to seat us we were all soaked and the sun came out again. We all dried out during lunch and had a nice walk back in the sunshine to the Metro platform for our ride back to Union Station. We arrived at the wedding right on time and found prime second row seats. Denise says the ceremony was very nice but I took a nice nap during it so I could not tell you about it. After wards the bride and groom left for a photo shoot and Denise was told by many of the guesses that you did not know I was there till they saw me and what a great pup I was. Denise and I excused ourselves so we could walk over to the bluffs and take a picture and a quick busy break. When the bride and groom came back I took another nice nap under the table while everyone had dinner or I was trying to get baby Jonathan to drop some of his food off his highchair but he was to busy eating it all to see me. The night went on and Denise was getting complement after complement about how good I am, why are they complementing Denise I was the one being good like always. It was getting late and Jacob fell a sleep in papa’s lap (Denise’s Dad) while the party was still going strong but both Denise, her dad and I were getting tired so we said good bye to everyone and took Jacob back to the motohome were I climbed into my crate for the night, but wow are weddings fun.Papa, Jacob and Blue Puppy

Denise says we have a few hours this morning before getting ready for Chris’s wedding to go over and play in this park called Sea World. So Brittany, Jacob, Her mom and I climb into Denise’s car for a five minute drive around Mission Bay. I am still not very sure what Sea World is but is sure does smell good. Once we entered the park Denise says we should go over to Shamu stadium to see some fish that Denise calls Orcas. So we sit down and I got all comfortable in a little ball to nap and the next thing I know out of the water jumps this HUGE fish. I watched the show for a little bit but I decided that a nap is more important than watching the fish. After Shamu we walked over to Pet’s Rule show were tons of Dogs, Cats, Birds and a Pig do tricks the ushers asked us to sit up towards the top of the bleachers so I would not disturb the animal cast. I sat and watched as people came in to the show stadium and right before the show started I sat at Jacobs feet watched the show of all these dogs running around the stage pulling ropes and jumping in the pool! WOW today was a really long day! It started with Denise, Andromeda, Oceana, and I going to the office like normal at seven A.M. but we left at eleven so we could stop at the vets office for Andromeda to get he vaccines. Then we stopped at home and Denise packed the back of the car with her suitcase, our food, blankets, and a fold up crate. We all hopped in the car for a long drive out to pick up Brittany after school but we did not stop for long as we kept on driving south till we got to San Diego! Wow what a fun adventure to the model train show we went to today. We saw some incredible train set ups in all types of model trains. Denise and I watched a presentation on Walt Disney’s life and love of trains the finally evolved into Disneyland Railroad. We wandered around the LGB, Lionel, and of course Jacob’s favorite was the toy booths that sold Thomas the train. Tonight was the Ventura GDA puppy meeting Denise says we had a demonstration on the Children's Workshop GDA does for the elementary schools. Tonight was another puppy meeting at GDA, Denise learned about some first aid for dogs. How to take my pulse in two different areas she says she had a lot easier time finding it on my back legs. Then our group leaders showed us how to restrain an injured dog and how to put on an emergency muzzle. I really did not care for the muzzle lesson as I became the dummy for Denise to try it on. Denise told me that we are going on another adventure today so I climbed into the car and was ready to go. We took the 5 freeway south so, I thought we were going to Disneyland. But, Denise said we weren't going so laid down again until we finally arrived at our destination. When I jumped out of the car, I smelled something very familiar... it was my sister Fenix, and her raisers. Once we found them at the steps of the building, Denise told me we are going in to the Nixon Library to see the model trains.I like to watch the trains with my buddy, Jacob, but my sister is the next best thing. There was also a really neat exhibit of the Apollo Space missions and Nixon's life. I even got to put my noise on a real astronaut suit, Sit with Winston Churchill, and walk through the hundred year old catalogue house that Nixon grew up in (and it not that much bigger than Denise's camping trailer). Denise tells me we are going to go see the Rose Parade Floats today so she packs water and my bowl and her camera in her purse then we came into the car for the ride over. When we arrive I smell my sister but I can’t find her so I walk along with Denise while she is on the phone locating Fenix and her raisers who just got on the bus so Denise buys her ticket really fast and we rush over to the buses but we just missed Fenix’s bus so we climb onto the next bus so we are off to the floats when we get off the bus I see Fenix right away and we head into the viewing area. Wow these floats are bigger than what they look like on TV. Denise takes my picture in front of a bunch of them while we walk around. Fenix and I were getting tired and it was getting more crowded so we head to the exit and over to the bus to our cars were Fenix and I jumped into Denise’s car for some more water and nap while we head over to the restaurant for lunch before heading home..

Today is Christmas and Denise will not let me open my present under the tree till later tonight when the rest of the family comes for Christmas Dinner. So we head over to Grandma A’s for Christmas Breakfast were Denise’s Cousin brought his dog Sadie from Colorado and her Aunt brought Andromeda’s Dad Orion to play. When it was time to eat I had to put my jacket back on and take a nap under the table but afterwards I was allowed to play again till it was time to come inside to open the first set of presents of the day. Denise and I sat in the corner watching till it was all done then Jacob and I when to play with Grandpa A’s LGB train till it was time to go home and pick up Grandma B and her puppy Lucy Lu. It’s time to open my present right??? But Denise says no not yet. So under the dinner table I go for another nap while Andromeda, Oceana, and Lucy Lu sleep on the blanket. So dinner’s over and the guys turn on the football and now it’s time for presents but Jacob gets to go first so not fair I am the youngest here. I wait patiently for my turn and when it is finally my turn I find out I that Grandma B and Lucy Lu gave me a bone and a rope ball Yes I received what I asked for. Today Denise and I meet my sister Fenix, her raisers Bob and Kathie, and Rachel and Dale at Goofy’s Kitchen in Disneyland Hotel for Bob’s Birthday Breakfast. We meet sou chef Pluto before we entered the restaurant were both Fenix and I took a nap under the table while our people when to get their food at the buffet. While all us girls were waiting for the guys to come back with their plates the kitchen help Chip came by to see if there was anything we needed. This morning was another GDA obedience class today we worked on getting in and out of the training vans and the student bus. Then we switched stations to work on comes in groups in the community run area of the kennel. I did really well in both stations and Denise says after class we are picking up my sister Finley for a slumber party. At home we play, play, and play till it is time for bed. In the morning before Finley has to leave we play some more. Today was the Sylmar Halloween puppy meeting. Denise made me another new costume my Jelly Fish costume was fraying so my new costume was a Lady Bug! There was a costume contest and I came in second place for my age group my sister Fenix a cow girl came in fourth. Denise took me to see SANTA! We had to wait, wait and wait in this line then I had to wait for Santa's elves to get the camera working again. Then it was finally my turn to tell Santa my Chrismas wish is to become a guide dog for someone who needs me! Sammy, Westin, my sister Monica and I went for a morning trip to Disneyland. This was Westin's first visit and he did really really well. We started the morning at Space Mountain "Ghost Galaxy" the Halloween make over which was closing the next day. Westin sat patiently while Sammy and Monica had their turn then walked up the ramp and waited with Monica while Sammy and I road again. We then walked by Big Thunder Ranch but it was not open yet but Westin stopped for a few photos with some pumpkins scarecrows (I wish my girls would be so happy to poise for me as Westin was). On our way over to the Haunted Mansion Westin was really interested in the Big Thunder Railroad train zooming by so we stopped to let him watch but the attraction then when into a 101 (emergency ride stop) so while we snapped a few pictures one of the security CMs that I see almost every time I come and asked if Westin was my new puppy I said not I just turned in Catalina yesterday and Fern my new baby is still way to little to come yet. We talked a little bit more then went on our way to the Mansion. We did some other attractions in Disneyland and were on our way to DCA when I spotted Aladdin and Jasmine with only one group in line so we stopped for a photo. Over in DCA we stopped to meet Chip and Dale and Westin being the great boy he been all morning sat nicely looked at me and then walk away quietly without going what I call Charterer bonkers. Poor Dale he sooo wanted to play with Westin that while we were walking away he was reaching out in the air for Westin to come back and play but there was a line of little kids waiting to say hello to them so we kept walking. Ove at Toy Story Midway Mania (TTMM) we got an assistance fastpass to come back in 45 minutes. So we walked over to the pasta place in DCA had lunch and then returned for our ride on TTMM then over to Screaming for our last stop of the day before heading back to the car. It was a really nice morning and I hope to go to Disneyland again soon with Sammy and Westin.

Well today is the day I am going in for formal training I am really excited to be going to do something new and I also get to see my litter mate all together for the first time since the puppy nursery (well all except two Calle who is a new breeder and Carley who was career changes last May). Denise and I arrive early and my friend Hapor is running around the off leash area so I join her before Denise and I turn in my puppy jacket. Wow I finally get to go to my first Ventura GDA Puppy Raiser Meeting last month I was sick so we could not go but this month is the Halloween meeting and I came as a Purple Jelly Fish with my little clown fish jumping on my dome (Denise says if you seen Finding Nemo you will understand but she could not find pink fabric for my costume so I ended up purple). Tonight Denise gave me and Catalina to some new puppy raisers who are still waiting for their puppies. Our meeting was a trick or treating threw the mall but we had to do a formal come, sit nice of greetings, down stay, leave it, or sit stay to earn our treats I earned 5 treats Catalina only earned 2 she was taking advantage of the new puppy raisers inexperience and she also ate the bone at the leave it station "I did not touch it". Today I took Kendra to Disneyland for her first visit we arrived around 8:30am and the park was busy I forgot that this weekend was the CHOC Walk in the Park was this Sunday (CHOC is Children's Hospital of Orange County) so Kendra and I stayed to the quieter areas of the park in the mornings. We explored the new opera house lobby and new gallery, strolled down Main Street USA watching the people and the horse drawn street cars till we made it to Sleeping Beauty's Castle and Fantasyland which was still very empty at park opening. After letting Kendra watch Dumbo and the carousel we walked down Big Thunder Trail to Big Thunder petting Ranch which was still closed but the Cast Members let us go in to Celebration BBQ and take some Fall photos around the stage before the restaurant opened. We then walked over the Pioneer Mercantile for some more fall pictures and then El Día de los Muertos display before going back to Big Thunder Ranch which is now open. Before the park really gets crowed we head over New Orleans Square and Haunted Mansion Holiday for out only ride of the day. On our way out threw Adventureland we see Princess Jasmine with now line so over for one last photo before heading home.

Today is my first really outing now that I have had my walking shots (rabies 5 days ago). So Denise took Catalina and I to Lombardi Ranch's pumpkin patch with the Sylmar GDA puppy raiser group. I saw strange animals, lots of orange balls, kids running by, a corn maze, people eating corn on the cob, these two big dogs pulling a wagon. Wow is sure was a big day! Today was my friend Sammie's puppy raiser's birthday so we went to Disneyland! Denise and I meet Sammie and Sandy at 8am so we could get Sandy's Birthday ticket.Once we entered Disneyland we ran into the Mad Hatter and Alice in the entrance plaza and Chip, Pluto, Mickey, Goofy & Donald Duck, in Town Square.Sammie and Catalina with the Mad Hatter and Alice Catalina and Officer Chip Catalina and Tiner Belle

Once we walked down Main Street USA we received a call from Peggy, Amy and ShyLee who are in the parking structure and will meet us in front of the Castle in 25 minutes which is just enough time to say hello to Tinker Belle and friends. As Sammie and ShyLee are having their picture taken with Woody and Jessie Denise and I wonder out to keep a eye out for Eli and Naina and their raisers who show up and we join the group still in the ranch watching the goats and looking at the neat pumpkins that the Cast Members are carving. So we have some time before we need to be back at the BBQ so we head over to Pirates of the Caribbean, the Haunted mansion for a quick ride before heading back over for BBQ. After lunch we go over to It's A Small World and we run into Cruella De Vil who wants to take us back stage for a Labrador coat. We tell her no thank you we like our coats where they are and head over to It's a Small World then to ToonTown Station for a trip to Main Street so we can go over to DCA for Toy Story Midway Mania and Soaring Over California before the park closed early to get ready for the Mickey's trick or Treat Party.So we went back into Disneyland were we took some final photos in front of the giant Mickey Pumpkin and then to pick up items from the lockers before heading home. What to do today I know let's got to the Lombardi Ranch - Pumpkin Patch with Denise family! Last year Denise and I brought Brittany here and had such a good time this year we brought the rest of the family to find that one great pumpkin! But before we find the our pumpkins Jacob and I walked threw Scarecrow alley, tried to find our way out of the corn maze and even road on the mule wagon with Judy and Katie pulling the wagon again. Brittany, Jacob and I even found our pumpkins to bring home with us. Jacob is working on his maze skills in the hay bale maze. This weekend GDA had a group camp out at Lake Casitas there was 38 sites and about 80 campers and just as many dogs (puppies in training 6 months and older, career changes and one guide). Denise and I arrived at the campground about 7pm Friday night and wow was it dark! After we unpacked we joined a group of raisers going for a walk and then sat around the camp fire till it was time for bed. Saturday morning we woke up early and took a nice walk with Sammie, Peri, and Winter with their raisers. Later do to the heat and flies we drove over to Carpinteria for the cooler weather and browsing threw the stalls at the flea market before heading back to the camp site to start dinner. Joise, Catalina and Sammie at the flea market in CarpinteriaGroup getting together for dinner Sat. night

After Dinner all the GDA campers gathered together for a desert potluck then headed to individual sites for camp fires or bed. The next morning after the big GDA hosted breakfasts everyone was getting ready to go home so Denise packed our car and then we hung out with Tina and Winter watching all the trailers and cars leave for home. But finally it was time for us to go home also so we could pick up little Fern from her sitters. It was a nice weekend visiting with everyone. Denise, family and I went to Mickey's Trick or Treat Party at Disney's California Adventure. We tried to arrive early so we could go over to Disneyland but Los Angeles traffic cut that plan out so the kid got dressed and we waited for two hours for the party to start. Once we entered the party our group decided to go to Hollywood first and ride Monsters Inc. and Tower of Terror along with dancing at the backstage dance floor and treat stops. Mickey Mouse was also in Hollywood but his line was two hours long just to have a picture with him so we moved on. As we crosses Sunshine Plaza Denise snapped a picture of me on the party stage there and we then headed over to Soaring and then the treat trail in the Golden State before we headed over to Screaming and Toy Story Midway Mania. When we finished the treat stops around Paradise Pier it was 11pm and had some tired kids to walk back to the car. It was a good night!

Denise for the last three years has participated or helped in the VisionsFantastic.com Digital Scavenger Hunt IV. The first year she brought Roxie, the second was Oceana, and last year was Gunnar so it's my turn this year. We are stayed at Howard Johnson hotel a 7 minute walk from the parks for the next two night.

We arrived at HoJo at 1pm meeting Adrianne our roommate for the next two days and checked in early and then walked over to the park were we meet Pam, Eric and Gil over by Pirates and walked on the attraction but Eric and Gil are on a menorah hunt this weekend threw out the parks and found three in Pirates. After Pirates we headed over to DCA for a late lunch and a few attractions before we till we meet at 6pm for the VF meet for dinner if wanted and socializing. As the evening wore on a small group that we where apart of left the picnic area to make our reservation at the Blue Bayou restaurant were I took a nap under the table while everyone either ate dinner or just had desert. After dinner there was 20 minutes before the parked closed so we road Pirates one more time that day.

Saturday 12, 2009

After a good night sleep on my fluffy pillow we headed over to IHOP where Denise and Adrianne had breakfast then took Denise's computer over to the judging hotel for use later in the afternoon. We meet the 26 teams at the picnic area for orientation and the game books before they headed out into Disneyland. Denise, Adrianne and I where a dummy team so we could keep an eye out on the teams playing. For the first half of the game before the noon break we when over to Mickey's Toontown and watch a few teams take some photos of items from the hunt book.After the noon break we had a group photos before everyone left for the second half of the hunt. As the teams hunted threw the park for items a group of staff when over to Main Street train station to ride on the Lilly Belle parlor car which we did. Then we rode another two attractions before we headed over to innoventions were we watched part of Chicken Little before heading back to the meeting area to collect all the booklets and memory cards so we can head over to the hotel and grade the teams. I really enjoyed the judging where play with DaddyB before Denise saw what we were doing I was still in my jacket. After the award ceremony we headed into Disneyland for dinner and played till the park closed.

Sunday Denise and I said goodbye to Adrianne at 5am Denise wanted to go back to sleep but I wanted to go out and start the day. I did not win Denise slept for another two and half hours before she was ready to start packing up to start the new day in the parks. After parking the car in the Disney lot we went into Disneyland for a half a hour before Gil called and said he was up so Denise could pick up her laptop and Gil could put his luggage in our car for the trip home later that evening. We meet Chris in DCA a wondered around before heading over to Disneyland for lunch where we meet Don, Dania, and Keri and hung out for the rest of the day till the park closed again. Now it time to go home! We dropped Gil off and arrived home 20 minutes later to my comfy crate were Denise and I both fell a sleep as soon as we lied down.

Yesterday Denise brought home another puppy but it was not just any puppy it was Kamra her first GDA puppy. Denise says we are going to the photo studio early tomorrow morning for a group photo of all her GDA puppies she has raised and Andromeda.
