Wow another car show that benefits GDA. This time it’s the Morpar Spring Fling XXIV car show in Van Nuys. Like last weeks we walked around smooshing with the exhibitors.. There was also a exhibit of police cars and a few 50’s style cars but most of the time we worked the GDA booth and talked to people when they came up to ask questions or just visited with us puppies at the end of the day GDA was presented with two thousand dollars from Morpar Car club.

Today Denise brought me the Spring Classic Car Show that benefits GDA. Denise and I walked around checking out all the beautifully restored and maintained cars, trucks and a bus. We smooshed the exhibitors talking about Guide Dogs of America while they tried to tell Denise about their cars, She’s does not understand all the terms of engines, wheels, and other car parts. Today Denise and I left Fern at home so we can go work the GDA booth at the Camarillo Air Show. We meet Molly, Roxy & Jack for our morning shift. I meet a lot of nice people who gave me lots of loving. On out way out of the air show Denise and I walked around the planes on display.

Today Denise & I when to the Pet Expo in Santa Clarita for our 3 hour shift in the GDA booth talking to people about puppy raising. (Catalina)

Oh boy was it hot! Thanks to the fan in our booth the air moved but I kept trying to hide under the table to get out of the heat Jennarea decided that the best way to cool down was to use the fan as a pillowTibbs and Jennarea are taking a nap in the fans breezeGinger is catching the breeze while Tibbs is still sleeping

I when to another GDA meet and greet this time at Chaminade Prep. School. Today is the opening day of Chaminade’s GDA puppy supply drive. We come to the school so they can see us and love us then they donate lots of fun toys and supplies that will go to the kennel for us to play with and some of it goes into the Open House Silent Auction baskets. There was a big group of us puppies at Chaminade which is a good thing because when two hundred plus students came out to lunch to see us there were a lot of puppies to love on. One of the girls fell in love with me and did not leave for the whole hour forty five minute lunch. Other students came by and love me to.

“Wow that was a lot of Girl Scouts”
Today we went to Chatsworth High for the Girl Scout Cookie Kickoff. There was over a thousand girl scouts starting from the Daisies all the way to Seniors. GDA had a booth and Denise & I went to represent GDA. Harley, Kylie, Livie, Elke, & Guide Dog Walden also came with their people. I was petted and petted. I though my fur was going to wear off. Denise had to take me away from the booth a couple of time to calm me down. I got so over excited that I started to bite kids even when I did not mean to. But I did have fun after the event. Denise, Andromeda and I went over to Harley’s house and I got to play with Harley, Walden, Diesel, Kaden, & Zolo. Harley and I played tug against Diesel and then wrestled and got dirty. Then Andromeda and I went to Splash Dogs to get all clean. “It was a good day.”
